Baby Dies After 2-Year-Old Sibling Climbs Into Crib: Police
A 6-month-old was found dead after his 2-year-old sibling climbed into a crib with him, police say.
Houston police say the baby was found unresponsive around 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Jadestone Apartments in the 7500 block of Cook Road.
According to police, the baby’s father entered the bedroom shared by the boy and his sibling and found the 2-year-old in the crib with the 6-month old. At that time, police believe the baby became unresponsive.
The baby was taken to West Houston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Police say the death appears to be accidental, pending autopsy results.
No charges have been filed in this case.
