WINSTON-SALEM - The Winston-Salem police department wants reassuring those going to the Dixie Classic Fair, saying they'll have 'sufficient police presence' in place Tuesday night at the fair and the William Michael Morgan concert in the Grand Strand.

Police issued a release in light of the Las Vegas shooting Sunday night where more than 50 people died and over 500 were seriously hurt.

The concert is happening at 7:30. Additionally, police say they'll have a strong presence across the city to handle 911 calls and service calls.

A release from the department says Police Chief Catrina Thompson reached out to Clark County Sheriff Joesph Lombardo to let him know the department is thinking of Las Vegas and the surrounding community.
