ORLANDO, Fla. -- On the heels of announcing another price increase at their parks across the United States, Disney officials unleashed fresh details about a new roller coaster coming to Epcot.
Themed around Guardians of the Galaxy, the indoor attraction “will be one of the longest enclosed roller coasters in the world.”
Here’s how Disney explains what to expect: “Larger-than-life Super Heroes will descend upon Epcot with the opening of a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction. Based on the rockin’, action-packed Guardians of the Galaxy movies, this one-of-a-kind family attraction will feature a brand-new, innovative ride system that’s guaranteed to ‘wow’ guests.”
It will open in Epcot’s Future World some point in 2021, which marks the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.
“The Guardians of the Galaxy-inspired coaster is part of our ongoing work to transform Epcot into a place that’s more family, more relevant, more timeless and more Disney,” officials say in the Disney Parks Blog.
