TEXAS – It was an ultrasound that doctors knew right away something just wasn’t right.
A Texas mom of three learned her new baby had developed a tumor on her tailbone at 16 weeks. Doctors also said the tumor was only going to get worse. While some doctors recommended she terminate the pregnancy, one doctor gave the family some hope. At 23 weeks, the doctor recommended surgery to remove the tumor.
The baby was removed from her mother's womb and the tumor taken out. The baby named Lynlee was then placed back in the womb for 12 more weeks.
The infant then had another surgery at eight days old to remove parts of the tumor they could not get to during the first surgery. Now Lynlee, is home with her family.
