Dolly Parton has shared the recipe for her special dessert she likes to bring to the table during the holidays.

Dolly's Walnut Pie. Now, doesn't that sound sweet?

She posted the recipe to her Facebook page Tuesday night: "If y'all are looking for a special dessert for your table, here's one that's always on my table at Thanksgiving and Christmas!"

1 fold out pie crust (thawed)

3 eggs

3/4 cup of sugar

3/4 cup light corn syrup

1.5 cups of finely chopped walnuts

1/4 tsp salt

4 tbsp butter, melted

2 tsp vanilla extract

whipped cream

Preheat oven to 400 degrees farenheight.

Roll out the crust and line a 9-inch pie plate with it.

Beat eggs in a large bowl with a hand mixer.

Gradually add the sugar, corn syrup, vanilla and salt.

Continue mixing until combined.

Add the melted butter and beat until thoroughly incorporated.

Pour the egg mixture into the pie shell.

Add the walnuts, spreading them evenly within the mixture.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Reduce the heat to 300 degrees farenheight and bake for 45 more minutes.

Place a collar of foil around the edge of the crust after 3 minutes.

Serve up with a Dolly-up of whipped cream.
