Hurricane Matthew Relief Donation Drive in Lexington
Radio station Majic 99.9 FM in collaboration with Jerry Hunt Supercenter in Lexington will host a fundraiser for Hurricane Matthew victims.
The donation drive will help the Baptist Children's Homes of NC Kinston Campus. Over 50 children had to leave the campus due to rising flood waters. Many of the children left with very few items and are in immediate need.
The event is Monday, October 17 from 10 am -- 1 pm at Jerry Hunt Supercenter located at 418 Piedmont Drive, Lexington, NC 27295.
Free hot dogs will be available for anyone who makes a donation.
From Port Au Prince to Princeville: Helping Matthew's Victims
Organizations from Stokes Early College are teaming up to host a fundraiser and food drive to assist the victims of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti and Eastern North Carolina.
The event will be at Rural Hall Bowling Lanes located at 9125 Broad Street, Rural Hall, NC 27045 from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm, Friday, October 21.
The proceeds will be split between Doctors Without Borders relief mission in Haiti and direct relief to the people of Edgecombe County.
