1. READY TO SOAR!
Get ready to earn your wings! Check out the NC Aviation Museum’s Fly-In spectacular. The event features more than 100 unique and classic aircraft from across the Eastern seaboard. It also features aircraft rides, aviation attractions, hayrides, local food vendors and more. The Fly-In takes place Saturday, June 10 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at 2222-G Pilots View Road in Asheboro. Admission is $10 and parking is free.

2. FRONT PORCH FUN
Aycock Porchfest -- this is a unique event like no other! On Saturday, neighbors in the Aycock neighborhood will turn their front porches into performance venues for musicians, bands, dancers, and storytellers. Guests can stroll from house to house to enjoy all the entertainment. The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and will culminate with a single performance at Sternberger Park. The event also include food vendors and fun stuff for kids. This event is free and open to the public.
3. OCEAN DAY!
Come celebrate World Oceans Day at the Greensboro Science Center. Visitors are encouraged to come with strollers or wagons decorated to represent the theme of World Ocean Day: “Why I Love the Ocean.” A parade will take place at 11:30 a.m. The winner will get to help a penguin paint a piece of art and they’ll also get to keep it. The top 20 winners will also be invited to a VIP Meet the Animals presentation. The event also includes: crafts, educational talks, Shark Reef Dive, Penguin Feeding, Shark Reef Feeding and more. The event takes place Saturday, June 10 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Admission into the science center is $13.50 for adults ages 14-64 and $12.50 for ages kids ages 3-13, and Children 2 and under get in free.

4. KIDS HEART THIS BAND!
It’s the kind of music kids just love! This Sunday, kids can jam out with the Big Bang Boom Band at Triad Park. The event is free. Make sure you bring lawn chairs and blankets. You can also bring a picnic or buy hot dogs and other food items on site. Kids can also check out the antique autos by the Old Salem Chapter Antique Auto Club. It’s Sunday, June 11. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with the band taking the stage at 5:00 p.m.
5 . FARM WILD!
Potbellied pigs and ducks make for one fun event at the High Point Farmers Market. Children and adults are invited this Saturday to come out to feed and pet the potbellied pigs, ducks, and a turkey. The event is from 10:00 a.m. – noon this Saturday, June 10 at the High Point Farmers Market located at the High Point Public Library at 901 North Main Street.
