1. SPRING FUN
It’s spring and it’s time to go wild at the Spring Folly Festival! The three-day event takes place this weekend in downtown Kernersville. More than 30,000 people are expected to attend this year’s festival. The festival includes live music on two stages, carnival rides, classic car show, tractor show, kiddie tractor pull, art & craft vendors, petting zoo, pony rides, clown shows and more! Admission into the event is free and so are the concerts.

2. ROPE AND RIDE
Calling all cowgirls and cowboys – it’s time for a good ole rodeo! We’re talking about bull riding, barrel racing, pole bending, calf roping, cattle cutting, team roping, goat tying, bareback riding, saddle bone riding, calf roping, and steer wrestling – if you dare! The 14th Jeff Hinson Memorial NC High School Rodeo competition takes place this Friday and Saturday at the Lucky J Arena on Highway 64 East of Ramseur at 7:00 p.m.
Dates & Time: May 5th at 7:00 p.m., May 6th at 7:00 p.m.
Rain Date: May 7th at 2:00 p.m.
Place: Lucky J Arena, Highway 64 East Ramseur
Tickets: $8 Advance Tickets
$10 at the gate
Children 5 & under get in free.

3. CULTURAL FESTIVAL
Lexington will host its 21st Annual Multicultural Festival in historic Uptown. The event includes costumes, musical performances, exhibits, and entertainment. It all takes place Saturday, May 6 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This is a free event.

4. VROOM VROOM
This one is for the car lover with a smooth ride. The Davie County High School Auto Tech Car Show takes place on Saturday, May 6. The event includes, of course, a car competition, the Team Penske NASCAR race car transporter will also be open for tours, and the Mustang Sampling Show Car #5 Corvette will be on display along with the Austin Dillon #3 show car. Judging takes place 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Entry fee for the show is $15. The car show takes place at the Trailers of the East Coast located at 418 Interstate Drive in Mocksville. The event ends at 1:00 p.m.

5. SUPERHEROES BATTLE FOR POWER
These superheroes don’t just wear capes they also roll up their sleeves and battle it out against each other. The Greensboro Arm Wrestling League (GRAWL) is ready to battle it out this weekend in a superhero-themed arm wrestling competition. The event will benefit the nonprofit I Am A Queen Foundation’s annual teen empowerment conference. The GRAWL competition is Saturday, May 6 at the Elm Street Center located at 232 South Elm Street in Greensboro. Admission is $6. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and arm wrestling begins at 8:00 p.m. Free parking is available until 9:00 p.m. at the Green Street Parking Deck located at 211 South Greene Street. You can buy tickets at the door.
