Greensboro Opening Two Disaster Resource Centers After Tornado

Both sites are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day until further notice.

GREENSBORO - Greensboro will have two Disaster Resource Centers to help those struggling after Sunday's tornado starting on Monday, April 23.

Those impacted by tornado damage can go to:

  • Willow Oaks Community Center (1815 Everitt St.)
  • Peeler Recreation Center (1300 Sykes Ave.)

Both sites are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day until further notice.

The Greensboro Housing Coalition and the City of Greensboro Neighborhood Development will be on hand to assess housing needs of those impacted by the storm. The NC Department of Insurance will be there Monday through Wednesday to help homeowners applying for insurance claims and homeowners without insurance.
