GREENSBORO, NC -- Between hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, and the earthquake in Mexico, we've seen a lot of devastation in the past few weeks. It's easy to be sad about things happening in the world.
But today is a day to help people focus on the positive. It's World Gratitude Day. The day started in 1965 at the East-West Center in Hawaii by a man, who was the director of the United Nations Meditation Group. He suggested the idea as a globally unifying holiday and the members agreed. The group formally celebrated World Gratitude Day on September 21, 1977.
So we wanted to know what News 2 Viewers were thankful for and asked you to chime in on our Facebook page.
Julie Luck and Taheshah Moise shared what they're grateful for. Watch the video for their responses.
