2 Arrested After Shots Fired Into Convenience Store Near UNCG: Police

Police say they're looking for one more suspect.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Two young men were arrested by UNCG Police Officers shortly after shots were fired into a convenience store Tuesday morning.

Greensboro Police say the shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. at the Great Stops on West Gate City Blvd. A 911 caller reported shots were fired into the store. Officers learned three men were arguing in the parking lot when one of them fired a gun, with the bullet hitting one of the store windows.

UNCG Police arrested Terrance Lamar Laws and David Jomon Stewart shortly after hearing a radio call of the description of the suspects. Laws is charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and going armed to the terror of people. He is in Guilford County Jail on a $25,000 secured bond. Stewart is charged with conspiracy. He is in jail on a $5,000 secured bond.

Police say they're looking for one more suspect.

Police seized a handgun and ammunition as evidence. No one was injured in the incident.

Investigators don't know a motive for the shooting.
