FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – A Fayetteville dad is dead and a woman is safe after multiple suspects broke into a Fayetteville home and fired gunshots Sunday morning.
The man’s daughter, Tiffany, identifies the victim as Karlos Bembery.
The Fayetteville Police Department later confirmed his identity and said he was 42 years old and lived in the 5000 block of Blayne Lane.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting along the 5000 block of Blayne Lane at about 5:25 a.m.
Inside the home, officers found a man with a gunshot would and an unharmed woman.
Bembery was pronounced dead on the scene.
The suspects fled the area.
Detectives with the FPD’s Homicide Unit are investigating the shooting.
