RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. – The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says a man is charged with killing his father.

The Sheriff’s Office said Jerry Manns, 56, was arrested after they discovered a body Sunday at a house on Belo Rush Road in High Point.

Investigators said Garland Lee Manns, 79, was stabbed to death. They also said, the man’s son, Jerry Manns, said an altercation resulted on Tuesday that led to his father’s death.

Investigators said Garland had multiple stab wounds. His body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Jerry Manns is charged with Murder and is in the Randolph County Jail under no bond.
