HIGH POINT, N.C. – One man has died after a triple shooting in High Point, making it the city's 15th criminal homicide this year. The two other men are still recovering - one is in critical condition.
Officers say three men were shot on Paramount Street this afternoon. Detectives are still investigating, after obtaining a search warrant to look in and around the house where they say the shooting happened.
The triple shooting has neighbors on edge. Just down the road, Mia Davis is still shaken by what she heard. She says she doesn't feel safe any longer - after hearing the gunshots, and calling police.

"My first thought when it happened is my kids," she said, "That's what I'm worried about. Because there's so many people out here dying nowadays. It's like, they could be shooting and something could go through the window, and hit my kids. That was my first reaction. And ever since I've really been panicky because it's not safe out here anymore."
She said, after putting her kids on the floor, she punched in 9-1-1 on the phone. Soon, sirens and police swarmed the street. For hours, yellow taped roped off the center of the street as officers questioned people living close by.
It's something Davis never expected on her block.
"This is a nice neighborhood. This is the first thing that has ever happened since I've been here," Davis said, "You know, we have a lot of kids on the street, a lot of families that stay here, it's never a problem. This is the first time this has happened."
The shooting happened around 5:15 p.m. Thursday, and is still under investigation.
