GREENSBORO, NC - Greensboro Police are looking for the person who robbed and shot someone in the chest early Monday morning.

Police say they responded to a robbery call on the 1000 block of Summit Avenue just after 4 a.m. When officers arrived, they found one victim who'd been robbed at gunpoint and shot in the chest.

Police say emergency crews took the victim to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The name and address of the victim is being withheld temporarily.

The suspect has been identified as a black male driving a black sedan last seen headed north on Randleman Road.

Police are still investigating. They ask anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 336-373-1000 or text the tip to 274637 using the keyword badboyz. All calls to Crime Stoppers are completely anonymous, and may result in a reward up to $2,000.
