GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police arrested a man charged in connection with a deadly shooting.
Police arrested Marokus Juwell Ballard, 26, from Wilmington who’s charged with first-degree murder in the death of a Greensboro man.
Police said Jasmon Rashad Graham, 32, was shot Tuesday morning just after 11 a.m. Police said the suspect in the shooting at the time was seen driving a silver Honda before crashing near Pleasant Garden Road and Liberty Road.
Greensboro police closed Liberty Road between Edgemont Road and Pleasant Garden Road Tuesday night to investigate but have since reopened the roads. Officers said they were searching the area for the suspect who ran away from the scene after the crash.
Police said Ballard was placed in the Guilford County Jail.
