WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A Triad teenager will spend at least three and a half years in prison after pleading guilty for an assault on a homeless man in Winston-Salem.
Decorus Roundtree pleaded guilty to several charges connected to the beating of Arthur Bill Bloxham.
Roundtree was one of five teenagers who attacked Bloxham while he slept under a bridge in January. The attack left him with a brain injury leading to memory loss and partial blindness. He spent months recovering in the hospital.
The 60-year-old was found dead last month inside the bathroom at a Hardee's in Winston-Salem.
Two other teenagers charged in the case pleaded guilty in August.
