UNC Basketball Player Among Victims After Break-In At Smith Center

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) - An incident report shows North Carolina guard Cameron Johnson and another victim had several thousands of dollars worth of property stolen from them during a break-in at the Dean E. Smith Center.

The suspect(s) broke into the men’s basketball offices and locker rooms early on March 9.

The suspects did not have to force their way into the building, the report says.

UNC Athletics and two people, including Johnson, are listed as victims on the report, with the total value of the stolen items reaching $7,158.

The report says 11 items described as "clothes/furs" were stolen along with a Playstation 4, Xbox One, a MacBook Pro, and a financial document.

UNC police released images relate to the incident showing a person of interest and a vehicle of interest.
