Guilford County Schools Closed On Tuesday Due To Storm Damage

Sharon Contreras, Guilford County Schools Superintendent, said parents will need to pay attention later this week to find out which schools will be open and closed.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Guilford County Schools has announced all schools will be closed on Tuesday, April 17 due to continued storm damage.

Three schools have been heavily damaged including Hampton and Peeler elementary schools.

On Monday, Guilford County Schools announced plans for relocating students and staff affected by the tornado.

Hampton Elementary students (297) will attend Reedy Fork Elementary.

Peeler Elementary students (291) will attend Bluford Elementary.

Erwin Montessori students (252) will attend Alamance Elementary.
