GREENSBORO, N.C. - Now that it's getting warmer in the Triad there are things you’ll want to take out of your car.
Weather.com says not to keep your sunglasses in your car. The heat can damage the mirror and anti-reflective coating on the lenses. It can also melt plastic frames. Metal frames and lenses can warp.

A WFMY News 2 producer left his wallet in the car and part of the plastic melted.

Weather.com also said not to leave plastic water bottles in the car. The chemicals used to make the bottles could leach into the water and toxins could get into your system.

And what about your electronics?

Fixthatphone.com says battery-operated devices shouldn’t be left in hot cars for more than 2 hours. Doing so can shorten the battery’s life and damage other parts of the device like its screen or the plastic case.
