How To Get Rid Of Tornado-Related Debris in Greensboro

Greensboro residents can have their tornado-related debris picked up or drop it off themselves.

The city of Greensboro has provided several ways to get rid of damaged property and debris left from the Tornado that hit on April 15.

If the storm damaged your home, the city is offering free curbside pick-up with a few rules.

Tree debris, building material, appliances, and hazardous material will all be picked up. But it must be placed in separate piles on your curb. Any tree debris should be between 6-9 feet long. The city also wants people to remove the doors on any appliances they want picked up.

If your home wasn't damaged, you can still have your stuff picked up. But it will need to be bundled, canned, and bagged according to standard procedures.

If you have the means to haul your debris, the city dumping at the White street landfill at 2503 White street will be free until further notice.

The location will also be open 7 days a week until the City of Greensboro says otherwise.

Just bring your driver's license or state ID to prove that you're a resident and you will be able to drop off any tornado-related debris that you have.
