GREENSBORO, N.C. – Apple is making it easier for you to find pictures on your gadgets.
Once you click on photos, hit the search icon in the top right corner of the screen, then type in a key word.
For example: flowers. Your phone will bring up all the pictures you’ve taken that have flowers in them.
How does Apple know? Image recognition has been operational since June 2016 with IOS10.
Apple said the object detection is done locally on whatever device you are using, which mean the pictures aren’t being collected by Apple.
According to several tech sites like the Verge, Apple made seven different facial expressions and a total of 4,432 keywords that the photo search can recognize.
