Be weary of anyone calling you claiming they're U.S. Marshals, court officers, or any type of law enforcement. Scammers are using it as a front to rip people off.

In one scam, the caller claims you missed jury duty and owe money. If you don't pay up, the caller threatens to arrest you.

The U-S Marshal service will *NEVER* collect money over the phone.

In the second scam, the caller claims you won the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes and you need to pay a fee to collect the prize.

To look more credible, scammers might give you a badge number or the names of actual police officers or federal judges.

Their number could also appear on your caller ID as if they called from a courthouse or government agency.
