GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro City has reached an agreement in a controversial body camera case that raised questions about police use-of-force.

According to a release, the city approved a settlement payment of $95,000 to Dejuan Yourse on Thursday.

Yourse was arrested by Greensboro Police last June after someone thought he was breaking into a home and called police.

Body camera footage showed Yourse explaining to two officers that he was locked out of his mother's home. The situation escalated quickly and Yourse was arrested.

Greensboro Police then began an internal investigation into its procedures. During the investigation, both officers involved in the arrest resigned.

Greensboro City Council and Greensboro Police Department both apologized publicly to Mr. Yourse.
