John Holleman told http://www.wwfmynews2.comWFMY News 2 he has looked up to Dale Jr. his whole life.

"I don't think there's anyone in the sport who's had as much pressure at Dale Junior, having to fill the shoes of his father." Holleman said.

The 20-year-old racer said he watched Earnhardt Jr. since he was a kid.

Holleman admired the way he treated his fans and how he lived up to his father's name.

He said that Dale helped him learn how to perform under pressure.

While Holleman believes Dale's retirement is a loss for the sport, he knows his generation will work to make him proud.
