GREENSBORO, N.C. -- You might have seen him before. A man, clad in 19th century attire strolling through downtown Greensboro with a lantern.

That's Dan Riedel, the co-owner of Carolina History & Haunts.

"When many people have had a similar experience in the same spot, that gets you definitely thinking when you walk inside that location."

Riedel gives haunted tours year-round through out Greensboro, Charlotte and now Winston-Salem.

"Our job is to paint a picture for them throughout the night," he says. "To bring them back in time, to share with them stories that have been passed down for a very long time."

Dark alleyways, the Biltmore Hotel and the Carolina Theater are just a few places in downtown Greensboro to plunge into the paranormal.

At the theater, people have felt temperatures drastically change - or something rushing by them.

"Some people have even claimed they have seen some things moving throughout that might not even really be there."

Riedel knows his stories to be true, because he's talked to people who have lived it...perhaps the eeriest part for all who dare to venture out with him.
