MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- An Allegiant flight was diverted after trying to land at Myrtle Beach Airport on Monday as Tropical Storm Irma moved through the area.

WPDE reports, the plan drifted sideways due to winds from Irma.

Kirk Lovell, said the incident did happen at the airport.

He also said there were multiple canceled inbound and outbound flights due to the winds.
