BURLINGTON, N.C. -- When we tell you a local organization is building a house in ten days, you probably think that's impossible! But thanks to dozens of volunteers, donations and hard work, it's becoming a reality.

Habitat for Humanity Alamance County is joining with corporations, professional associations, banks, churches and others from across Alamance County to build a house for future Habitat homeowner, Blanca Gonzalez and her family.

This build will truly represent a community effort of Building Hope!

"I'm very excited," said Gonzalez. "I've been dreaming about having a home my whole life and it's actually coming true. I come from a widowed mom who was raising me all on her own. Finally having stability and I have a child, so having my child have stability, is amazing. I can't thank Habitat enough."

Habitat volunteers will build a 3-bedroom, 1.5 bath house on Chandler Avenue for Gonzalez and her family to move into this month.
