GREENSBORO, NC -- It's not even summer break but we already need to start talking about going back to school. The Teacher Supply Warehouse is a place where Guilford County teachers can come pick up supplies for their classroom and they want to stock the shelves.
Just take a look at these numbers, last year 2,144 teachers visited the warehouse, they distributed close to 8,000 two-pocket folders and close to 70,000 pencils. It goes without saying that community donations keep the warehouse, our teachers and students prepared for school.
That's where you come in. The warehouse accepts supplies year round but Nexsen Pruet, a Greensboro law firm, decided to host an eight-week drive that ends Saturday, May 20th. They've already collected 60 boxes full of much-needed school supplies from clients and other community members and businesses. They want you to help them out by bringing supplies by their office on May 20th. They'll have food, games, facepainting and more for anyone who donates supplies.
What should you bring? The warehouse needs binders, notebooks, pencils, hand sanitizer, calculators, science supplies, envelopes, notepads, toys, hole punchers, party supplies, books and anything else a child can use in the classroom.
