GREENSBORO, NC -- Four years ago Ryan Saunders, a Triad native, wanted to bring something "cool" to his hometown of High Point. With just an idea and some hard work, Hopfest was born. Now the one-day festival is in Greensboro. It features local craft breweries, food trucks, live musical performances and even a market, but the original intent - to bring something new and fun to the Triad - is at the heart of the event.

Organizers say Hopfest is an opportunity to showcase what Greensboro has and help the city grow. It was inspired by similar events in cities like Chattanooga and our North Carolina neighbors like, Durham, Raleigh and Greenville.

This year the festival will be near downtown Greensboro on Saturday, May 13th from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Just type 302 West Gate City Boulevard into the GPS and hop over. Tickets are $15 online and at the door.

If you're worried about parking - don't be. Hopfest has a trolley that will run from various parking lots and decks in downtown Greensboro to the event. Check out the map below for more information or learn more on Hopfest's website.
