BURLINGTON, NC -- We're less than two weeks from Christmas and a local organization wants to make sure Triad kids have their needs met inside and out!

Tony Honeycutt with the Piedmont Rescue Mission joined Eric Chilton to talk about how you can get involved!

The Piedmont Rescue Mission's goal is: to provide shelter, hope, counsel and structure to help change lives of the homeless and addicted in Alamance County and surrounding counties.

They're hosting a special event on Saturday, December 16th and its open to everyone! It's their annual Community Christmas Meal. They'll have toys for the children, food bags and a coat give away as long as supplies last. There will also be a drawing for bicycles at the end of the day.

The event is open to any needy families in the area. So if you want to attend, it's Saturday, December 16th from 11 am - 3pm at the Rescue Mission. The address is 1519 N Mebane St., Burlington, NC 27216. If you have questions, call the Piedmont Rescue Mission at (336) 229-6995 or click here.
