Tirra Cowan from Black Mountain Chocolate in Winston-Salem joined us this morning for some great recipes kids and dads can make for Mother's Day.

Chocolate crescent rolls with fresh NC strawberries:

Fresh Strawberries
Sugar as needed
1 tube crescent rolls
BMC baking cubes, or bars, or whatever you can get hands on
Whipped cream & nibs optional
Other inclusions:
PB or PB powder
Cheese cake filling
Go Savory!  Sausage/Bacon & cheese, mushrooms & spinach, pimento cheese

Pre heat oven to 350
Trim, hull and cut strawberries.  Sprinkle with sugar, let sit
Prep inclusions
Open crescent rolls, work with 2 at a time
Place chocolate on widest end of dough(don't over fill), roll, make sure to close tightly
Bake on parchment lined cookie sheet @ 350 for 6 minutes, rotate and bake for another 6 minutes
Let set for 5-10 minutes
serve with berries, cream, nibs

Yogurt Parfait:

Fresh berries (strawberries and/or blueberries)
Yogurt(Mom's favorite, vanilla if unknown)
Cocoa nibs

Clean, trim, hull and cut strawberries, sprinkle with sugar.
In a small glass or mason jar, layer yogurt, berries, top with nibs & berries
