KERNERSVILLE, NC -- Grab the kids and get ready for some summer fun! Historic Korner's Folly is hosting its second annual Family Fun Day this Saturday, June 24, 2017 and there's a ton of things you can do.
Families will have an opportunity to play historic games, and learn about Victorian traditions, while participating in hands-on activities and crafts.
The North lawn will host “Sand Archeology,” and Victorian games like Grace Hoops, Croquet, and many more. Children will also have an opportunity to make their own historical toys.
In addition to the games and crafts, Korner's Folly will present a new puppet show, Aesop’s Fabulous Fables at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The puppet show is a gift from Old Salem Museums and Gardens. Self-guided tours and scavenger hunts will also round out the day’s activities. Seating for the Puppet Show is limited and advanced ticket purchase for the event is highly recommended which you can purchase here.
Family Fun Day presents a unique interactive learning experience, great for all ages to learn about this interesting period in American history.
Körner’s Folly, historic house museum, is open for self-guided tours Wednesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Scavenger hunts, activities, and puppet shows are a great way for children and grandchildren to experience the historic house.
