With our Holiday Blood Drive going on right now. Some of you want to donate blood, but can't because of a medical condition, medicines that you're taking or you just don't want to.
Even though it's an individual decision, you might get some pressure or looks for not donating. Realize that some people are just curious. They’re not automatically trying to be nosy or trying to make you feel bad. Also, remember that you don’t owe anyone an explanation for your decision. So if someone pushes you, you can tell simply say, “I’m not donating.”
If you feel bad about not donating then find other ways to help with the blood drive. You can volunteer to help with registrations, parking, snacks, supplies.
No need to feel embarrassed if you can't or won't donate. It's your choice. Be confident to stand by your decision.
