GREENSBORO, N.C. -- April is Financial Literacy Month and WFMY News 2 is helping you take control of your finances. On Monday, a panel of financial experts answered your money questions!

The financial experts were all volunteers from the Society for Financial Planning Professionals or SFSP.  The local SFSP chapter is :

•      Michael LoNano, LoNano Financial Advisors, Inc.
•      David Duff, Robinson & Associates, Inc
•      Arthur Sohn, Smith/Broadhurst, Inc.
•      Fred Turner, CFP® Fifth Third Bank
•      Gregg Schlaudecker, Emerald College Planning
•      Matt Logan, CFP®, Matt Logan Inc.
The experts answered financial questions dealing with wills, trusts and estate planning, taxes, social security, pensions, retirement, investments and even education debt and education planning.

The goal is to help folks who may not have the resources to pay for a financial professional or think they might not need one.

You can watch the videos to get answers to some of your questions.  You can also attend a workshop.

The Society for Financial Service Professionals is hosting an event called "Achieving Financial Security" on April 28. The event is in conjunction with United Way of Greater Greensboro, the Salvation Army and Biscuitville. The event will be held at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club in Greensboro from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will be speakers, and the public will also be able to have a personal session with a volunteer financial professional for free.
