DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. -- Detention officers from the Davidson County Detention Center received a phone call from a man asking about an inmate. During the conversation, the man informed officers that he would "blow up the jail" and damage the employee's vehicles in the parking lot.
After an investigation, 22-year-old Zachery Beck of Lexington, was identified as the man who made the threatening phone call. Detectives were able to find and charge Beck with one count of threatening phone call.
Beck is in Davidson County Detention Center under a $1,000 secure bond. He's scheduled to appear in Lexington District Court on January 8, 2018.
