CHERRY GROVE, S.C.-- Firefighters in South Carolina responded to a massive fire around 7:30 p.m. in Cherry Grove which is near Myrtle Beach.

According to CBS Affiliate WBTW, five condos were engulfed by 9:45 p.m. and one was already burned to the ground.

Investigators said they are not sure how the fire began, but there is a possibility that a nearby power line could be the cause.

National Guardsmen were also on the scene of the fire, the station reported.

News13 was able to make contact with the owner of one of the condos. The owner, who lives out of state, says they were made aware of the fire at 9 p.m. when a neighbor in Cherry Grove called her family.
