GREENSBORO, NC - From racing to save someone's life, to racing the clock.
Sunday the top Emergency Medical Service teams in the state faced off in the 26th annual North Carolina Paramedic Competition.
Wake Forest Baptist Medical center were trying to defend their state title this year. Other regional champions in the state are from Cabarrus, Hoke, Rowan, Surry County.
The competition was at the Joseph S. Koury Convention Center with bleachers full of their friends and family.
Each team was faced with scenarios designed to challenge them with a true-to-life situation, but with a twist.
The competition is not only great for training purposes, but it gives other emergency service workers the change to see how the team reacts in different situations.
The winning team will be announced Tuesday night.
