RAMSEUR, N.C. – A water main break is causing problems in the town of Ramseur and it means you’ll have to boil your water.
The boil water advisory has now been moved to around 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3. That's when crews will interrupt water service to make repairs. Town leaders ask that on Saturday, you boil your water as a precaution until further notice.
The boil water advisory has been moved to Saturday due to the inconvenience it would cause to schools. It will impact the following areas:
Columbia Ave, Shady Dr., Oak St, and Cox St.
You’ll need to bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least three minutes or use bottled water until further notice.
Boil water for the following:
- Brushing Teeth
- Making Ice
- Preparing Infant Formula and Juices
- Washing Fruit, Vegetables, and other Food Items
- Cleaning Dishes
The water main break is in the area of Columbia Avenue in Ramseur.
