Deputies say the investigation into Elliott began after a complaint was made by a student, and was led by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, together with the school system. Elliott was suspended with pay on April 25. He resigned on April 26.
Investigators say Elliott posted the $5,000 unsecured bond on that same day, on the condition he have no contact with the alleged victim.
