A state of emergency was declared for both Maryland and Virginia on Friday after damaging winds are expected to continue into Saturday.
Virginia Governor Northam made the announcement on Friday afternoon and Maryland Governor Larry Hogan made the announcement on Friday night.
Severe weather has caused closings, damage, and delays through the DMV and is expected to continue through Saturday.
