GREENSBORO, N.C. -- We all know Thanksgiving is about giving thanks-- it's even in the holiday's name!
WFMY News 2 wanted to know what you are thankful for. We went to LeBauer in Greensboro to hear firsthand.
We talked with people of varying ages, races and ethnicities. Everyone seemed to have similar reasons to be thankful: family, health and friends.
Susan Mently said she was thankful to be spending Thanksgiving in Greensboro.
"It's just lovely here and we're having to leave, sad to say," Mently explained. "So it's going to be a nice way to end our time here."
Mently is moving away next week, but says Greensboro will always have a place in her heart.
Stephanie Hodges is thankful for her health, especially after losing a loved one over Thanksgiving years ago.
"This time of year is usually tough for my family because we lost my mom at Thanksgiving quite a while back. So just the fact that we're all here and able to continue enjoying being with each other is important," she said.
Darryl Keller is thankful for his whole life.
"Just for breathing. And that there's a God. I know there is. So that's what I'm thankful for this year," he explained.
