GREENSBORO, NC – A 23-year-old woman has several broken ribs and fractures after being run over by a vehicle Sunday morning.

Greensboro police said Jasmine Dyneka Cole, along with dozens of other people, were standing in the intersection of Hiatt St. and McManus St. at 3:08AM. Cole was hit by a car, and according to witnesses, the car stopped for a moment.

However, the group heard shot fired from 2812 Hiatt St and the driver of the vehicles, along with several other people, left the area. Police said there’s no connection between the shots fired and the crash.

So far, they have varying descriptions of the vehicle from witnesses. Police said several people “did not see anything or could not describe the car because the area is poorly lit.”

Citizens and officers attended to Cole until EMS arrived. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip, 336-373-1000 or test keyword BADBOYZ and the tip to 274637.
