After giving fans a Hamilton polka last month, Lin-Manuel Miranda gets serious with his March offering: a mashup of The Story of Tonight with Dear Evan Hansen's track You Will Be Found, with the musical's star, fellow Tony winner Ben Platt.

Part of the proceeds from the track, which is available on iTunes, Apple Music Spotify, YouTube, Google Play and Amazon Music, will go to the March for Our Lives initiative, which is gearing for its march on Washington this Saturday calling for an end to gun violence and mass shooting in schools.

What is the significance of the two songs?

The Story of Tonight, from Hamilton, is sung by a young Alexander Hamilton, Marquis de Lafayette, John Laurens and Hercules Mulligan, who share a round of drinks and camaraderie before joining the American Revolution.

You Will Be Found, from the 2017 Tony winner for best musical, is a speech about loneliness and friendship intended to keep alive the memory of a high school pal who committed suicide.

Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg, two of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students who have become the public face of March for Our Lives, smiled as they watched Miranda and Platt's video together from the green room at CBS This Morning, where they were booked to speak ahead of the march on Washington.
