HOUSTON – A father is being called a hero after reportedly saving his three kids from their burning home overnight.

According to the Houston Fire Department, the fire broke out right around 11 p.m. Sunday on Lila at Ralston Street in northeast Houston.

Neighbors said they saw the father rescuing his children, who are 10, 4 and 2 years old.

The children went to the hospital with smoke inhalation and minor injuries.

The father suffered burns to his hands and feet.
