STARR, S.C. (WSPA) — A mother was hit and killed, moments after her child got on a school bus in Anderson County, South Carolina.
According to WSPA, the student’s mother was talking to the bus driver in the travel lane when she was hit by a man on his way to work. The mother died of blunt force trauma, according to investigators.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said it’s reviewing the school bus footage. The man who hit the woman was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The Anderson School District is offering students both directly or indirectly affected by the accident counseling and support according to the district’s crisis plan.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
