The D.C. Eaglets Are Hatching!

We have a pip!

Liberty and Justice are proud parents once again!

The pair of bald eagles welcomed an eaglet this morning in their nest 110 feet up an oak tree at the Metropolitan Police Academy in SE, Washington, DC.

According to the Earth Conservation Corps, the eaglet, called ECC3, was laid on Feb 7, 2018.

A second eaglet, called ECC4 and laid on Feb 11, 2018, is expected to pip (hatch) on Sunday, March 18.
