My 2 Cents: You can be a role model at any age

You are never too old or too young to make a positive impact on someone's life.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — It's time for "My 2 Cents."

I want to dive deeper into something we touched on earlier this week in your Four 2 Five.

A Texas teen is making headlines because she is going to be one of the first female eagle scouts. The Boy Scouts organization recently changed the rules to allow that.

Personally, I think it's wonderful.  The amount of dedication and hard work it takes to become an eagle scout is something to celebrate.

The teen profiled in the story is just 16 years old. And I think it highlights that anyone can be a role model at any age. Because broken down simply, a role model is a person who serves as a positive example to others.

And sometimes it's easy to get into the mindset of hey I'm only 21 or hey I'm only 12. But guess what? There is someone younger looking up to you.

Don't let your age deter you from making a positive impact in someone's life. It really doesn't take much to do so either

Form your own opinion that's just my two cents.
