WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- The Carolina Thunderbirds are flapping to stay airborne tonight at 7:30 p.m. after falling short against the Watertown Wolves Friday in a 5-4 overtime loss.

To keep their playoff hopes alive, the Thunderbirds now need a win and they plan on getting It today in Watertown, New York for game 2. A win tonight will force a deciding game 3 on Sunday, April 15.

The victors of the Federal Hockey League‘s Commissioner’s Cup Playoffs will play against the winner of the Port Huron and Danville series for a chance to raise the cup in victory.
