Several local ACC college football teams are going bowling! Bowl berths were announced Sunday afternoon with Duke, Wake Forest and NC State all landing bids to extend their season.

Wake Forest (7-5) is going down to Charlotte to face Texas A&M in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 29 at Bank of America Stadium.

Duke won its last two games to finish 6-6 and play in the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit on Dec. 26. The Blue Devils will take on Northern Illinois out of the MAC.

After an 8-4 regular season, NC State will play Arizona State in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, also on Dec. 29. It's the fourth straight year the Wolfpack have reached a bowl.

Appalachian State faces Toledo in the Dollar General Bowl in Mobile, Ala. on Dec. 23.

NC A&T is set to play Grambling in the Celebration Bowl in Atlanta on Dec. 16.

Clemson reached the College Football Playoff for the third straight season after stomping Miami 38-3 in the ACC Championship. Virginia Tech was chosen for the Camping World Bowl in Orlando, FL to play Oklahoma State on Dec. 28.
